Ukraine to sign EU security pact soon with the European Union (EU).
The agreement aims to boost military cooperation amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky recently met with the United States compared the impending 10-year security agreement with the US as an important first step towards NATO membership.
According to Ukrainian sources, Kiev has already secured security agreements with 17 countries, including several EU members, and is actively negotiating with 10 others.
President Zelensky said, “The Ukrainian and EU negotiating teams have completed discussions on the security agreement and are preparing to sign it in the near future.” Currently, Ukraine’s military forces are struggling with the challenges of maintaining control of the eastern and southern borders amid ongoing Russian aggression due to a shortage of military equipment.
